Collection: I Should Like for you to Buy me Flowers, 2026
This body of work was born from fear of the unknown. The canvas stared back at me, looming and blank. The first marks were bold, in defiance of my own fears. The subsequent marks found their gentleness. The floral body reaches towards the top of the frame, towards the sun, in gratitude for her creation, even as she fears leaving the soil, because there is warmth in the light.
Medium
Acrylic on raw cotton canvas
Painting Dimensions
24 × 36 in
Framing
